Albino catfish

The albino catfish is a European catfish, but albino coloured.
Like the 'normal' wild-coloured European catfish, the albino is a smart and strong fish. A battle at the rod!

The albinos actually owe their white colour to a "mistake" of nature, as the albinos have no pigment, giving them a white skin and red eyes, all due to a genetic defect. These abnormalities are not harmful to the fish itself, but make it an easier prey in nature.

All this does make this sport fish a very nice fish to catch!

On both our ponds there is a European albino catfish with a length between 100-110 cm, a unique fish, on your rod, in the water, but especially in the picture!
