Competition rules Fish Fun Vrouwenpolder

  • Places will be drawn by lot in order of name and couple or trio. If a couple or trio ends up on the corner, they will move to the full side. The rods may not be cast until the buzzer sounds.
  • Fishing is allowed with 2 metres to the left and right, try to fish straight ahead as much as possible and no more than halfway across the pond.
  • The start and end of the match will be announced with a buzzer.
  • Only one rod per person may be fished at a time, unless otherwise indicated at special events.
  • Hook bait/food pellets, will be provided by Fish Fun Vrouwenpolder. Additional smac, cheese, mussels, wafters or sour herring may be purchased if desired. Wafters up to 10mm are allowed, other hookbaits may only be used from Fish Fun Vrouwenpolder.
  • A maximum of 40g lead may be used, this applies to the feeder, lead tackle and other tackle. The use of leaders is forbidden!
  • Unless stated otherwise, it is not allowed to fish with laced pellets/boilies or other baits you have brought with you.
  • You must treat the fish you catch with respect, and unhook them on an unhooking mat at all times.
  • Matches, unless otherwise specified, will be fished by numbers, after which match points will be distributed. The following points will be given:

Sturgeon 1 point

Carp 2 points

Grass carp 3 points

Pike 4 points

Catfish 5 points

  • In the event of a thunderstorm, the race will be interrupted at all times by a signal from the race committee and all anglers must get to safety and remove their rods from the water. If the thunderstorm lasts longer than half an hour, the tournament committee will decide on the further course.
  • If circumstances arise, the committee reserves the right to make changes to the match programme.
  • In cases not covered by the rules, the race committee will decide.
